Mick Moninghoff joined the sports staff at Blue Ridge Cable in May of 2022. A graduate of Temple University, He can be seen calling the Play-by-Play on event coverage, anchoring in the studio, or reporting in the field.

A three-time Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Award winner, Moninghoff has covered several major sporting events including the Super Bowl, the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the NBA Finals and the Rose Bowl.

He started his career in 1981 with Dial-It National Sports. His path to BRC 13 included stops in Philadelphia with the Comcast Network, Moline, IL as Sports Director at WQAD-TV and in New York with MSG Varsity.

As a play-by-play announcer, he has called several events including NCAA Championships in rowing and cross-country, the 50th anniversary basketball game at the Penn Palestra, American Hockey League games and an 18 game schedule in China for the China Arena Football League. He currently serves as the Play-by-Play voice of the Massachusetts Pirates of the Indoor Football League.
